Jess Roams Around Bacolod

The sugarcane capital and the city of smiles but is that all what this place offers? Definitely not.
How to get there?
The fastest way to get there is of course via plane but if there is no promo fare, why not do a land trip for six hours?
Go to South Bus terminal and take a bus bound to Toledo. From Toldeo, ride a tricycle going to the Toledo, bound to San Carlos Port. From the port, ride a tricycle going to the San Carlos Bus terminal and ride the Ceres bus with a signage Bacolod via Don Salvador.
Places we visited
Calea
Sweet tooth's haven and our first stop coz we are too excited to try the famous cake of the town.
The Ruins
Behind the beauty of the place lies a sad story of undying love. When we say Bacolod, The Ruins comes right away in our mind. And yep, you guess it right, tourist scattered everywhere in this place. I suggest you come to this place at around 2 to 4 PM to experience less crowd. But of course sunset/evening is the best time to take pictures and to visit as the lights are dreamy.

Campuestohan
Going to Campuestohan but do not have a private car?
Available only on weekends
*Go to Villa Angela Arcade parking lot for the shuttle. Shuttle departs at 9Am but I suggest to go there earlier as the vacancy of the seats are easily filled. We went there at around 8 AM and it was already fully occupied but lucky, we were offered to ride on a private car for a fee. There were a group of people who are willing to join us to share the amount to pay.

Travel Drama
No major dramas on our trip and I am more than thankful. But just want to share a piece of my unforgettable happenings during our trip aside from sightseeing which I habitually been posting in every place I go.
Exploring The Ruins makes you wander and just roam and took amazing photos of the place. While posing for a picture on the lake, wherein fishes are incredibly friendly (literally). Got lots of bites around my chest area due to, I think on the lake. My travel buddy photographer got no choice but to finish taking picture of the place coz I was already irritated and I want to look for a medicine. So to make the story short, I suffered from the bites until our Campuestohan trip and just wore a T shirt instead of an OOTD outfit 😂. That's all! Thanks for reading my nonsense travel "drama"
